Új informatikai technológiák elsajátítása Európában.
Start date: Aug 1, 2014, End date: Jul 31, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

For several years our institution Janos Csere Apaczai Professional Secondary School has been seeking international partners who can give us a chance to join practical work in an English-speaking country. The situation has been particularly difficult since September 2013 because the professional curriculum requires completing a professional summer practice on each course/year. The opportunities of our small town with a population of 20,000 are especially limited in the field of the fast-improving Information Technology. So since September 2013 we have been looking for international partners on that particular area consciously. Beyond expanding professional vocabulary our aim is to learn about new ICT tools, softwares and hardwares. In the frames of the project with the purpose mentioned above we are going to organize three trips for 16 students with 3 teacher escorts altogether. Since so far we have not had enough experience with any of the partners, the management of the project decided on short, 14-day mobility for the small groups. Our students are taking part in after-matura education, studying on the informatics branch and have their final examinations in English as a foreign language. According to the expectations the trips will take place from 1 August 2014 to 31 July 2015. We are planning two trips for August (Malta and Italy) and one for June (England). As the result of the project we expect to get acquainted with and spread new technologies and ICT tools within our institution. We expect our students to improve their English, to extend their professional vocabulary. We expect the international practice to improve teaching Information Technology for both our students and our teachers. The independence and confidence of our students will grow, they will be able to apply their acquired knowledge on the home and international labour market. We wish to form a long-term relationship with at least one of our partners, which would expectedly raise the teaching standards of our school and at the same time it would improve the chances in both further education and finding a job.
