With the help of the project that is to be carried out, our school consisting of primary and secondary sections aims to improve the methodologies for the linguistic and psychological problems of the refugee children whose number is gradually increasing in our country. There are 6 Syrian children at the primary level and 4 Syrian children at the secondary level of our school in the 2015-2106 school year. The number of the families enrolling their children in our school is increasing every passing year. We are in the need of teachers to establish a better communication with our refugee students, to fulfill their basic needs and who have the knowledge to help them adapt to the education system in psychological transition and we are in need of such kind of methodologies that could be improved in this view. The refugee children face to the problems of undernutrition, of being exposed to the violence and family division. These negative experiences have negative impacts on their social, physical and cognitive processes. Not having enough knowledge on how to treat these children, our institution is in favor of the works done towards filling this gap. Being an important source of communication, the language itself has a great role in understanding of the refugee children, in adapting them to the social and educational life. By this new project, we aim to provide help for the refugee children in our school in expressing themselves and in overcoming the social and psychological problems by adapting them into the academic life. We aim to develop the new teaching and assessment methodologies and to achieve the usage of new programs, approaches and materials that have could make the academic content more interesting and available in order to provide the adaptation of our refugee children to the social and academic environment. Our school wants to learn from the experiences of the hosting institution in this issue. It will be useful for the education of the refugee children to benefit from the foreign institution’s experiences on adapting the refugee children to the education system and the related issues that need to be considered. Our collaboration with the Macedonian institute, which is experienced on what basic needs of the refugees are and how to solve them, will guide us on the education refugee children in our country and at the following studies.
