Two Countries for Needy Orphans
Start date: Feb 1, 2010,

The Carpathian Youth Association from Hungary and the Association For Youths And Students in Partium (PIHE) from Romania wants to organize a 1.1. Bilateral Youth Exchange. We wish to share the experiences of the two associations in the field of social work, free time planning and helping underprivileged young people. Our objective is to organize a 6 day program in Oradea and in the outskirts of the city with the participation of 15-15 people. The main theme of the project explores the theoretical and practical possibilities of the social integration of those orphans (mainly roma children) who grow up in orphanages. The group of 30 people will include members of the roma community, two from each country. During the exchange we will discuss the problems of orphans and of roma’s and we will spend four days at the Saint Antony Orphanage in Salonta and and the one operating within the Saint Stephen Social Center in Saniob.
