Search for European Projects

Start date: Feb 8, 2015, End date: Sep 8, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

The context of our project is a ruined province where the level of unemployment is over 45% and if we talk about youth unemployment exceeded 60%. This leads to live in a European region with virtually no output and employment for young people where their population is under poverty and putting her at risk of social exclusion. Young people are forced to migrate because they have no choice or jobs that a few years ago were considered marginal and which became known as the thousand euristas, because until these jobs are disappearing. This socio-economic situation is leading to a cultural and social degradation that reluctance and discourages young people to participate and be active citizens in their society. We have come to agreement with our partner in Portugal that we will be a group of fifteen young people by nationality over two monitors per group, which will perform the exchange of 34 people. The youth of this exchange are average socioeconomic level to medium-low, with a mean age of 17-18 years. The activities we will be sporting character and knowledge of nature, but there will be activities with intent to promote multiculturalism and social integration of young people. The working method is mainly based on; conduct our activities by and for us; creating mobile workforces; facilitating intercultural, through dynamic activities and to promote contacts among participants; developing activities that are attractive like and prepared by young people themselves, and finally; constantly analyzing learning and pleasure in activities, taking the measures needed. As a result of all this we hope to empower young participants in their social integration and to develop physically and environmentally. As long-term benefit we expect young participants realize the importance of caring for your body performing physical exercises and the need to protect the environment as a general framework of their lives.
