In our project, we are applying funding for four members of our teaching staff to participate job shadowing periods in Norway. The purpose of those periods is to familiarise oneself with the outdoorschool -system and thus develope and diversify our learning environments as well as enhance communal learning and teaching. In outdoorschool -system the studying of the nature, learning to act in it and learning through experience help the student to form a consistant, understanding and respective relationship with nature. In the outdoorschool -system the students strenghts can be seen in a different light by both the teacher as well as the student, which encreases the students sel-knowledge as well as self-esteem. In addition the outdoorschool system with its functional and hands-on methodology improves the students social skills and all these things combined help the students growth to be an active an social world citizen.The good practises applied through this project will be directed straight to our everyday schoolwork in the benefit of our learners. We will also share the knowledge, experiences and ideas acquired during the project through our schools website, eTwinning and by instructing willing colleagues on the matter.
