Tune it UP EVS - is two months group EVS project held in the capital city of Georgia, Tbilisi, during the period of 3rd of June to 31st of July , 2016. The project will bring together 10 volunteers from Italy in order to work on implement alternative, urban music festival - Street Music Day. Volunteers directly involved in the activity are young people with fewer opportunities aged from 18 to 30, who have strong motivation and interest in related topics, such as youth issues,inclusion, volunteering ,diversity, event-management, media communication and promotion ,By working on the Street Music Day the EVS volunteers gain skills, knowledge and attitudes that will be important to them to be active members of their community and global society (critical thinking, skills in using new media, inter-cultural and inter-personal skills, communication, promotional , project management ) and to be more aware of the opportunities how to be involved and how to make an impact on solving various issues of their community. beside all above mentioned volunteers will have sense of setisfaction after the activities, faith in themselves and their strengths. The main aim of the project is to give certain set of competences to become active citizens, to promote and replicate youth projects and events as a key to develop. During their stay a group of volunteers will live in Tbilisi, work in the intercultural team, learn how to organize their work, communicate with each other and cooperate also with the local volunteers in organizing, managing and promotion of the music festival. Particular objectives of the EVS project are: - to understand the importance and efficiency of learning by doing;OBJECTIVES:- to understand the importance and efficiency of learning by doing;- to let the youngsters perceive and understand some of the cultural specifics and current issues related to youth and life in Georgia, to increase their cultural awareness and intercultural competences - to give skills for implementation events and festivals;- to give the opportunity to learn the basics of marketing to popularize the event or the project, to give competences for covering the event via social media and new digital tools;- to promote volunteering firstly among the participants, the local communities in the receiving country and in the sending country; -to foster the inclusion through involving volunteers in creative activities- to develop the social, cultural, as well as soft skills of young people involved in the project;- to promote the peer education and multiplying the initiative.The presented EVS will have a wide direct impact in Tbilisi as it will be contributing in widely visible music festival. The dissemination of the project results will be done through several levels and it will ensure very high visibility of our project. We believe that the project will inspire all the participating individuals to replicate the same notions in their own communities to tackle the local needs and issues.
