With this project, the cultural centres aim to improve, through cultural participation, the social cohesion in and between the cities of Courtrai and Armentieres. To this end, they support artists in the development of new artistic formats to attract a new, wide and cross-border audience.If artists want to communicate with a wider audience, their artistic work should transcend the restrictions of a theatre hall. To bring as wide an audience as possible in contact with these new art forms, various participative projects are organised.By confronting the audiences with these unusual artistic approaches that break with conventional theatre codes (such as performances in public places, at specific locations, living installations, mixed media, unusualformats, ...), a surprise effect is created that appeals to a wider audience.As these are new art forms, training and education of staff from both organisations are an important element in this project.
