Triangle 2.0
Start date: Mar 1, 2015, End date: Jun 30, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

The Triangle project features four partners from three European Union Countries (Bulgaria, Croatia and Malta) and a neighboring country (Turkey). Additionally the leading partner of the project is the Alcohol Policy Youth Network and one of the member organizations from Lithuania that was very active in the pilot Triangle project in 2013-14. Triangle aims at building coalitions (Alcohol Policy Youth Network member + European Alcohol Policy Alliance member + Public Health Institution) in each of these countries. While the APYN members are always youth organizations, there is no such rule for Eurocare members. By the idea of "triangle" three corners will work for more comprehensive alcohol policy on national level and develop their skills on how to better advocate for it. The project consists of a preparatory and an evaluation meeting, four national advocacy meetings and four local actions.. The Triangle project started on 1st March 2015 and finished 16 months later on 30th June 2016. It was planned to follow-up a successfully implemented pilot project carried out in three European countries (Slovenia, Lithuania and Portugal) in 2013 and 2014. The project had a starting training course in Malta in April 2015, four coached visits in Bulgaria, Croatia, Turkey and Malta (between December 2015 and May 2016) and a final evaluation in March/April 2016. Used methods were mostly classic non-formal education tools used also on Salto-youth.net. The project aimed at establishing national coalitions for alcohol policy and stimulating them to work together.
