Project "Third Age - second chance"provides the opportunity to senior educators from NGO "Grannies.lv" (Vecmāmiņas.lv) to participate in international training courses in order to improve skills and qualifications in two main areas - Human Resourse management and improvement of Teamwork. Up to now , the NGO has participated in life-long education area only on local level, but we would like to broaden our activities and get involved in international projects, in order to acquire the experience of other European countries in non-formal education of seniors. Therefore 8 educators during period of 2014 -2015 from NGO Grannies.lv are planning to attend training courses in Prague and Vilnius. Our partner ICT International TEFL Certificate offers a course about Human Resource management, the partner from Cyprus - DOREA Education Institute will help to acquire skills for professional teamwork. Both our partners have huge experience in international work, therefore the knowledge we gain will be useful not only in continuing educational work in Latvia, but also for cooperation with partners from other countries. As a result of the project, the participants will raise their self-awareness, improve English language skills and gain intercultural communication skills and competences. The NGO Grannies.lv will improve its prestige in society, by offering services of professional and competent trainers. After mobilities participants will help to develop organization's capacity development plan and bring European dimension in it. The organization Grannies.lv is planning to disseminate the gained knowledge to seniors in Latvia by organizing trainings and by involving Latvian seniors in international projects.
