The founders intend to help the children and adults with difficulties of intellectual development and formation of personality. For this purpose they intend to introduce into the Czech and Slovak setting foreign methodologies developing the intellectual and cognitive abilities. They were all deeply influenced by the methodology of Reuven Feuerstein - The Instrumental Enrichment which is widespread in all continents. Through the experience of their own learning and when working with various groups and individuals how it is possible to enhance the mental abilities, to organize information and ideas and to overcame social, intellectual and cultural barriers evoked by deficit of personal development or by school education. The basic methodology used by ATC Cogito is “Feuersteins´s Instrumental Enrichment” (FIE) that originated in seventies of the last century. FIE learns the method of intellectual work by means of exercise books (instruments) enriching the thinking and cognitive capacities. They started in the Czech Republic in 2000. Since that time they were attended by more than 900 participants. Many of them went also through three higher follow up courses. Since the methodology is continually developing, ATC Cogito prepares in the next years new seminars and courses. In the present the only lecturer was Věra Pokorná, Trainer senior, Associated Professor, member of the International Association of Instrumental Enrichment. Cogito offers to the schools, Consultation Centers of Education and Psychology and other Czech and Slovak institutions lectures on the methodology, especially about working with the theoretical model of Mediated Learning Experience characterized by Reuven Feuerstein by 12 categories. It enhances the interaction between the teacher (educator) and the student, the therapist and the client, mediator of information and his partner who receives it. The main goal of this project was attend the 36th Feuerstein International Summer Workshops. The participant was Mgr. Kamila Štindlova, FIE therapist and Trainer I standard. She passed the exam and got the International Certificate and licence to practice. This Summer Workshops hosted at the University of Florence, Via Laura 48, Florence 50121, Italy on 5-16 July 2015. Partial goal was set up new professional contacts and deepen and consolidate former relation with trainers and lecturers not only from Feuerstein Institute. Our project was successfully finished and all activities were completed with success. Mgr.
