Transnational Academic Careers in Child and Youth Welfare
Start date: Oct 15, 2012,

TACHYwe is conceptualised as project for the reformation and modernisation of curricula for graduate studies in the field of social work and aims at a specialisation in developing and implementing courses (MA and PhD-level) on international child and youth welfare in the participating HEIs in Russia and Israel. Besides the focus on content in the curricula, networking activities are provided, promoting the internationalisation process and laying the basis for transnational academic careers. The core is therefore to create an online-platform that provides e-courses, learning materials, discussion forums and designated areas for peer networking and international supervision. The process of development and implementation of the courses on international child and youth welfare is accompanied by activities that support research engagements and peer networking of students and staff from RU, IL and the EU countries: e.g. research exchange in joint workshops, collection of information on scholarships, laboratory for international research projects. The partner HEIs further enhance their capacities to offer high standard education in collaboration with non-university organisations and the use of existing contacts to social service market organisations.
