Feelings of intolerance, racism and xenophobia towards people from Arabic countries or any other, who is different in some way have been escalated because of active migration processes and numerous bombings in Europe in the recent years. With this project we aim to change this and prove that training youth workers could be a tool for changing attitudes and respecting human rights of people, no matter of their gender, background, religion or race. The purpose of this project proposal is to increase the knowledge and competences of youth workers/activists/volunteers how to promote human rights and in that way tolerance can be increased within the society. Total amount of participants is 26 people between 20 and 35 years old. They are youth workers/activists/volunteers, who are working on promoting human rights in their countries and want to attract more young people to that idea.Activities are directly connected with realization of project’s aims and will include review of the main human rights; regulating institutions; promotion of human rights and attracting youth to be advocates for human rights. In this relation a methodology will be developed. It will be based on principles of non-formal education and concept of experiential learning. It includes methods such as role play, simulation games, group work and discussions. Through usage of these methods we will empower trainees with tools for attracting and motivating other young people to advocate for human rights and with these actions to increase tolerance within the society. As result of the training participants will:- increase their cognition about human rights;- be empowered with different tools through non-formal methods for increasing tolerance and improving the skills for intercultural dialogue of other young people;- improve their competences for motivating youth to become multipliers in upcoming campaigns and initiatives, linked with advocacy of human rights In short term it will improve the work of each partner organization through trained youth workers on the topics, who will attract more young people on local level.
