Project was addressed to 40 students, coming from 3rd and 4th year of courses of Technical High School Einaudi and Professional High School Ceccherelli, that are attending the following courses (in some cases students already obtained Professional Qualification): Technician for Tourism, Technician for food and wine services and hotel reception; Technician for IT company systems and commercial; Technician for Administration, Finance and Marketing; Operator for Healthcare Assistance. Main aims of the project, for the promoter, have been: increas their learning offer, strenghten students' skills and competences through the workplacement abroad, offering innovative quality paths and courses, even in the sector of alternance school-work after the new School Law. For local partners project has been useful to increase the quality of the network of partners that works in international Mobility programmes and favour its growth, and also focusing on technical and professional skills required in the sectors experimented by the students abroad, compared with other workplacement experiences carried out by the participants. Main outcomes of the project have been: - for participants: acquire of technical, professional and key skills in the sector of study, increasing professional future occupability of participants at the end of the course, and also being a guidance for them; achievement of Europass Mobility (certification of acquired competences); increasing of language competences through the pre-departure activities in Italy and abroad; increasing of personal skills like authonomy, flexibility, time management, team working, independence, personal growth in taking responsibilities. - for local companies: after the experience and through the compare with the promoter, there has been a bigger awareness about the competences required abroad, and also an increase of knowledge of competences acquired by the participants that has put in contact the world of work and the school; - for international partners: increase the knowledge of educational tools, increasing of network of partners and good praxis, improvement of training path focused on the alternance school-work and programme Erasmus Plus; experimenting validation tools and recoginition of acquired skills, like learning agreement. Experience abroad was managed in one mobility flow, composed by 40 participants, that took part from September 2015. Promoter opened a call in all the classes of 3rd and 4th year of course, and participants applied for it. In order to apply, participants had to sent a CV and an application form, after that the participants had a selection interview, especially about motivation. To elaborate the final standing, promoter put together the outcomes of the interview and school outcomes (evaluation of the School Council) and the participation at extra curricular activities promoted by the school and preparatory for the experience abroad. After selections, participants also had interviews with tutors of the international partners and began the pre-departure activities, based on intercultural activities (about fears and expectations, interculture, impact with new cultures and new work environments, etc.) and logistic (signature of contracts, drafting of the learning agreement, practical and logistic info). Participant were divided in 4 flows: 13 in Malta, 7 in Bordeaux, 10 in Londonderry and 10 in Valencia. Every flow has been accompanied by a teacher during the first week abroad. Once arrived at their destination, participants started their workplacements in the companies selected after the interviews, taking part during the first week also to preparatory activities to facilitate adaptation and language skills improvement. During the period abroad, participants have been mentored by a company tutor and by another tutor of the intermediary international partner, whose task was also to evaluate and assess the skils acquired, through the issue of Europass Mobility. Once back, participants did evaluation questionnaires and Mobility Tool questionnaires and had or will be able to make the most of the experience through new workplacement experience at national level, in some cases at the project partners.
