Transfert des compétences acquises et de savoirs techniques

This project concerns the handing-down of skills and know-how from one generation toanother for artistic or craft activities, especially those relating to the preservation ofarchitectural heritage. Many of these skills are today in danger of disappearing. Thepartners involved are France, Spain, Italy and Greece, all of which are very muchconcerned by the handing-down of traditional skills. The complementary nature of theseskills would guarantee success in achieving the aims of the project. The partners aim to pool their skills in order to organise and create a commonmethodology to ensure the transfer of traditional skills and techniques for restoring andrefurbishing buildings that are valuable to their heritage through an intergenerationallearning method – from the old to the young:- Gathering experiences and drawing up an inventory of the disappearing skills andtechniques in each partner country. Some of these skills are very old (stone working, drystone building, ancient wall-building techniques, stone-laying techniques, stone-cutting).- Joint building of educational content (skills and teaching materials).- Inter-generational transmission – from the old to the young.- Disseminating results, creating models, and transfers within the various partnercountries, then to other European areas.
