Трансфер на добри практики в преподаването на електро-инженерни науки
Start date: Nov 1, 2016, End date: Oct 31, 2017 PROJECT  FINISHED

Electrо-engineering sector and specialties associated with it (mostly Еlectronics and Еlectrical Еngineering) have strong traditions in Bulgaria. Each year about 2000 students graduate and receive a diploma from vocational schools specialized in this field. In order to be competitive in the labor market after their graduation, they need to keep pace with the latest advances in electroengineering - they must have both a solid theoretical and practically-oriented basis. Therefore of high importance for graduate students is their school training, which appears to be insufficient. In this regard, the project "Transfer of good practices in teaching electro-engineering" - Sicily TRANSFER aims to cover the need for professional upgrading the skills and knowledge of teachers and administrative staff (principals) in the field of electro-engineering by sending a group of 30 people, representatives of the three professional schools - PGMET "Gen. Ivan Bachvarov" - Sevlievo, PGEHT "Prof. Asen Zlatarov" - Pleven and PGE "John Atanasoff "- Stara Zagora on a training in San Cataldo, Sicily (Italy). The participants in mobility will be evenly distributed - 10 people from a high school (nine teachers and one principal). The criteria that will be used in the selection process will cover education, work experience, knowledge of English and motivation to apply the acquired knowledge and new teaching methods into practice. The training will be conducted in the period 2 -11 July 2017 at the headquarter of the host organization Promimpresa, which has an extensive expertise in organizing various professional courses and trainings. The activities planned under this mobility will be:- lectures- presentations- demonstrations- practical exercises- discussions- visits to various professional institutions, including vocational schools in the field of electro-engineering in order to exchange experience and good practices in teaching- visits to electro-engineering companies in order to explore the needs of the sector for qualified professionals. When the mobility once completes, the participants will receive Europass Mobility certificates evidencing the successfully undergone training.Knowledge, skills and good practices acquired during the training will benefit both the staff involved in the mobility, the professional schools and their students. The professional experience gained in Italy will be used for the construction of new approach in teaching electro-engeneering sciences through:- the optimization of the curriculum of the subjects taught and their better adaptation to the requirements of the labor market;- the introduction of a new method of teaching, more practically-oriented and in line with the latest innovations in the field of electro-engineering.In addition, the management of the three participating vocational schools, supported by their teachers will develop an innovative teaching program that will be spread among other electro-specialized high schools in the country. Thus, the good practices acquired during the mobility will be spread among the largest possible range of stakeholders. The successful implementation of the project will lead to the accumulation of useful knowledge and practical skills in teaching electro-engineering sciences, and will make trainers and learners in this field more competitive in the European labor market.
