TRANSATLANTIC MA PROGRAM IN EAST_CENTRAL EUROPEAN STUDIES

West Virginia University (Morgantown, US), Coilegium Civitas (Warsaw, Poland) and the University of Tartu (Estonia) seek to establish a uniquetransatlantic multidisciplinary УА dual degree program ¡n East-Central European area studies. During the period of four years, 48 American andEuropean students will graduate from this program. Students from both sides of the Atlantic will spend iwo academic semesters overseas and wilcompiete relevant coursework at all three institutions with the goal of completing dual MA degrees in the course of two years. Faculty mobility wilenable site visits, research coliaboraiion, the offering of intensive courses hosted by partner institutions, and joint participation on student thesiscommittees, For the purposes of program implementation and evaluation, eight consortium meetings (including the four annual meetings) areplanned over the four-year period.
