Trans-Work-Coaching - Pan-European integration of people with disabilities

The aim of the pilot project is to develop transnational concepts for helping people with disabilities into the labour market and initial/further training. This will include developing and testing possibilities for integration into the primary labour market. The target group comprises non company-based training providers offering workplace support for people with disabilities. The primary motivation for the project is the observation by all the project partners that people with disabilities often drop out of training early or stay in a job only for a short time. Through the support of specially trained tutors or trainers, we hope to prevent this problem, thereby increasing the willingness of employers to take on people with disabilities. To do this, the project seeks to develop new ways of documenting the skills of the disabled, thereby making their capacities and the monitoring of those capacities transparent on a comparable basis across Europe. The first phase will involve testing and evaluating transnational training and further training measures for people with disabilities and their employers, including compiling guidelines and reference materials on the Internet. The next stage will be to establish a European "skills card" providing a clearer indication of formal and non-formal training, to match the skills requirements of people with disabilities more closely with those of businesses/employers.
