The project will initiate the development of a certification standard for a European vocational training course in trade management using a web-based virtual learning platform. The need for employees in SMEs to have relevant vocational trade competencies was established in a previous LEONARDO mobility project 'Training for Exports'. The proposed tool will facilitate the use of web-based virtual learning methods and reduce travel and distribution costs. It will also create a permanent basis for benchmarking and exchange of experiences between SMEs and training bodies in Europe. The project's activities will include collecting information on national training approaches, comparing them and, at a later stage, developing standardised modules that would enable successful participants to receive a European certificate recognised in all member states. Expected results include the web-based virtual learning platform and nine standardised modules for a European certificate in Trade management. Three conferences at international level will be held to promote the training system. An information campaign on the results of TRAM will be launched using different media.
