Applicant: Economic Chamber for tourism of MacedoniaPartner: Golden Tour FranceBACKGROUND Incoming tourism is field which needs to be developed in Macedonia as a touristic country. Big number of the Macedonian agencies work mostly on the outgoing tourism and are not experienced in creating inbound offers for their regions, use of cooperation with different industries make a efficient promotion for visitors of their region. With this mobility we will contribute in education of the agency stuff who will later implement the applicable tools, and gained skills in their context. Doing that they will contribute to the promotion of Macedonia as a respectable tourist destination, capable to be competitive with other partners from EU. OBJECTIVES With this mobility we would like :◙ to open the possibilities for 10 Macedonian agencies to learn on the best efficient tools for incoming tourism (how to create a quality offers, cooperate with relevant industries in promotion and implementation of inbound tourism) by goal oriented 10 days job shadowing programm in France ◙ to raise awareness among the tour operators from Macedonia on the benefits of quality based approach in attracting tourists◙ to equip the personal from the Macedonian agencies with strong inter cultural skills◙ to provide basis for improvement of the employability skills of personnel in the travel agencies from different regions of the country ACTIVITIES Identifying needs of the agency workers Preparation of the work programm Implementation of the mobility- 10 representatives from Travel agencies in Paris Implementation of a Round Table as important dissemination activityMETHODS USED : The programm was developed with combination of on the job training elements-theoretical input. DIRECT SHORT TERM IMPACT for the participants:- improved professional but also the generic competencies (as set of skills, knowledge and attitudes) of 1o representatives of travel agencies/travel agents, especially in the area of incoming tourism and development of one package offer using other relevant industries (avio industry, transport companies etc). INDIRECT LONG TERM IMPACT FOR ORGANISATIONS- improved the quality of services of Macedonian agencies and accordingly to that, to promote professionalism in their environment - Improved management capacities of both partners (ECTM and Golden Tour). This is a first Erasmus project for us, but we are convinced that this will initiate other future cooperation projects for both organizations. LONG TERM IMPACT FOR THE COMUNITY - All agencies are coming from different regions from Macedonia, some of then are touristic underdeveloped but with huge tourism potential. By increasing the level of skilled tourism workers in the travel agencies, we are indirectly contributing to increasing the quality of tourism services and at the end of the day quality of life of the people living in that region. They will work more on incoming tourism offers which will bring foreign tourist in the region who can impact the quality of life of the inhabitants too.
