In the last three years, the school invested a considerable sum of money to equip each classroom with an interactive white-board. At the beginning of this scholastic year, every teacher and support assistant was given a laptop to help with the preparation of the lessons. However, a number of teachers still lack the confidence to use these tools as a normal part of their lesson. We would like to be more effective in our teaching in order to have students abreast with what is happening today. This will help them be more competent when they finish school and are in their place of work. We would also like to be more active in European initiatives such as eTwinning projects, which again require that participants are well-trained in ICT. The training provided offers hands-on experience and is tailor-made according to the needs of the participants. At the moment, two participants are going to embark on this new experience, which later on will encourage and help other teachers to do the same, when the opportunity arises. Since currently there are continuous changes and challenges in the educational sector, we would like to be pro-active and benefit from this training in order to be better prepared to encounter these challenges.
