Toolbox meetings or toolbox talks are well established in the construction sector. They are short, to-the-point, interactive meetings on the workplace, guided by the foreman. They are meant to encourage team members to talk and think about their safety and health at work.The route to improved occupational safety and health (OSH) on construction sites is concentrated at frontline management level (foremen). Toolbox meetings are in this regard effective instruments to influence workers’ behaviour, if done in the right way.
