Project „The development of competencies according to labour market needs“ includes the mobility of forestry and landsacpe students and landscape teachers. The objective of mobilities of students is to develop the students' competencies through the implementation of ECVET system. Introducing the ECVET system started in Luua Forestry School in 2011 already, when school representatives participated in the development group of Leonardo da Vinci programme "Your ECVET". In addition to using ECVET system, the project will focus on the achieving of additional values of outcomes based on curricula and which are achievable just in the corresponding field of the partner countries. According to this, the units for students will be compiled and will be agreed upon the assessment, transfer and recognition of the learning outcomes, which is supported by the MoU signed between partners. This gives students possibility to develop their skills more widely, not only in school and in Estonian companies. It is possible for them to promote personal development, employability and participation in the European labour market, encourage the learning of foreign languages, educate themselves culturally and combine studying with working abroad in order to be able to live and work in diverse society, and be active in the labour market. The objective of the mobility of teachers, is practice in partner companies of different EU countries to experience the meaning of being competitive on the labour market according to their profession and their own level on the basis of the EQF. Without the personal experience, it is difficult to teach students the meaning of a competitive employee in European Union. The main expected result is the enhanced competence of the participants in the field of their specialization, labour market needs based teaching, and also the greater competitiveness on the labour market in the EU of teachers themselves. In addition, it is expected to gain the deepened understanding of the application of the EQF, improved language skills and increased cultural awareness and sensitivity. There will be 29 participants in the project: 16 landscape and 8, forestry students and 5 landscape teachers. Hosting partners are partner schools from Finland and the Netherlands, landscape partner companies from Finland Belgium, Germany, France. Forestry students set apart the felling areas, evaluate growing stock using the special evaluation programme; evaluate the volume and quality of timber, keep forest depot records; maintain the stands in accordance with the established requirements, taking into account the local specificities and soil, make an inventory of stands, etc. Forest machinery students learn through programmes of modern imitators operating machinery, carry out cutting and harvesting in accordance the local soil. They learn about the hydraulics and electrical systems on high technical level forest machinery acquired by partners and in technical classroom. The field practice of landscape students contains works associated with green roofs and green walls, urban landscaping, the landscape building, designing and small gardens, the maintenance works accordingly to the local specificities of the partner country will be held. Also, pavings, terraces, waterholes, pergolas will be built. The main goal is the implementation of professional knowledge and skills, the development of competencies, in accordance with the EQF. The project manager will coordinate the activities of the project and is responsible for the implementation of the assigned project agreement during the whole project. The financial manager manages the financial documentation during entire project period, monitors the accuracy and compliance with regulations. With the majority of the partners long-term cooperation is functioning and the MoU has been concluded already with them. With students the learning agreement in accordance with the ECVET system will be signed. On term the project provides an excellent opportunity to create at the national level network, in order to facilitate the transfer and accumulation of learners´ learning outcomes moving from one to another curricula and/or from one qualification system to another. Through the project briefing, the results of the project will reach the ohter companies in Europe, and will serve as an example and motivator for making partnership with school and developing the professional activities. From the perspective of the development of vocational training the project is important for the improving the quality of vocational training and in promoting it. As experience has shown - the internships abroad are great motivators for the students. At the same time the project will help to contribute the development of international cooperation, which provides the opportunity for mobility projects of students and teachers, for the implementation of the ECVET and more intensive projects of practical experience.
