The ISTITUTO COMPRENSIVO PRIMO LEVI is in the district of Marino, a well known town in the South of Rome, with a rich historical, archaeological and environmental heritage. Many people commute every day to Rome both for work and to enjoy cultural and recreational activities. The cultural and economic background is heterogeneous and we can witness immigration waves from different regions of Italy and Europe along with a strong immigration of not EU workers and refugees who try to integrate to the local contest. That involves inconviniences firstly in the use of italian language. Having to cope with new attitude, different culture, different systems of values through inexperienced interactions, our Istituto wants to expand the educational programme in line with the ET 2020 strategies strengthening the teacher's language competence in L2 and of the others teachers in curricolar subjects through the experimentation of C.L.IL. starting from the Primary School. In the perspective of internationalize and spread good habits the Istituto wants to offer a new teaching methodology and a full immersion in L2 through the use of second language in curricolar subjects. The project aim is to select a group of fifteen mobility in order to train interested and motivated teachers. Even if at present the National Programmes don't take into consideration this methodology in the Primary School, our Istituto having the mission of SHAPING TODAY'S CITIZENS PROTAGONISTS OF TOMORROW'S SOCIETY, in a global world, gives priority to the strengthening of the foreign language also with CLIL. In fact among the priorities of our P.T.O.F., we see the urgency of answering to the sollecitation of the cultural changing that is taking place and is going towards an interculturalism wich needs a new linguistic competence in order to be received and handled to the creation of a NEW CULTURE and a RESPECTFUL AND SUSTAINABLE WAY OF LIVING.
