Tiszta fejjel a tiszta környezetért
Start date: May 1, 2009,

The applicant organised the „Clean mind for clean environment” project with the aim of a group EVS activity for Polish and Hungarian young people from disadvantaged backgrounds and with fewer opportunities, mostly recovered addicts. The main idea was to make environmentalist voluntary activity in intercultural encounters by the Youth In Action Programme in the forests, pathways and tourist-centres of the Jurassic region in Poland. They wanted to create installations from the collected rubbish involving students of schools of applied arts and make an exhibition at the end of the project on the principal square (Rynek) of Cracow. They also gave some smaller “souvenirs” made of rubbish to the major offices of the region, making the programme known publicly and its message too: we take care of clean environment with clean mind instead of using drugs! The centre of the one month long project was in Rzedkowice, Poland, with a group of 10 persons, with reinforced mentorship. The main activity was in the surrounding forests, near by tourist sights and the popular rock-climbing places (Castle of Ogrodzienec, Castle of Myrów, Rocks of Podlesice, etc.).
