Three partners, the Csongrád County Archives (hereinafter as Levéltárszeged) the Historical Archives of Senta (hereinafter as Archive Senta) and Rendezvényház Nonprofit Kft. (hereinafter as Rendezvényház) wishes to link up the settlements situated along River Tisza in order to establish a cross-border cultural route that would highlight the special characteristics in the field of cultural history. This chain of settlements is formed by River Tisza, have certain highlights in cultural history and preferably mixed ethnic population. (Settlements planned to be involved are Csongrád, Szentes, Ópusztaszer, Hódmezővásárhely, Deszk, Röszke, Horgos,Kanizsa, Senta, Ada, Mohol, Óbecse)The assessments and researches needed to the preparation of the common value catalogue.This value catalogue will serve as the basis of a professional study of tourism and the cultural route and a marketing plan, as well as a guidebook, and it would also be used for the compilation of a traveling exhibition. Achievements: The River Tisza is a link between Hungary and Serbia. It has been shaping the way of life in this region for centuries. Unfortunately, this area does not receive the tourist attention it deserves. Three partners collected information about interesting and significant sites in the settlements along the River Tisza. The established cross-border cultural route highlights the characteristics of the common cultural history and presents interesting contemporary sites in twelve settlements along lower-Tisza: Csongrád, Szentes, Ópusztaszer, Hódmezovsárhely, Deszk, Roszke, Horgoš, Kanjiža, Senta, Ada, Mol and Bečej. After initial research and collection of information, the partners designed a catalogue of common values. The catalogue served as the basis for the creation of a professional study of tourism and a marketing plan, the tourism website and the travelling exhibition. The cooperation and work on the cultural thematic route was crowned with a very rich and informative guidebook about the region
