Tinténiac - Bersenbrück : S'enrichir professionnellement et culturellement au sein de l'Union Européenne.
Start date: Jun 1, 2015, End date: May 31, 2017 PROJECT  FINISHED

Our vocational school is situated in the rural community of Tinténiac, in Brittany, France. We have been involved in exchanges with Germany for several years now in liaision with the Tinténiac Twinning Association. The town of Bersenbrück has been twinned with Tinténiac since 2001. Bersenbrück's vocational school (Berufsbildende Schule) also runs a specialized option : sevices to the persons. With the aim of developping international relationships, we want to offer 14 of our pupils who are preparing a professional baccalauréat (class of 1ère) aged between 15 and 18 a voluntary commitment for a practical work placement in Germany from the 14th of October to the 29th of October 2016. These work placements are to be carried out in Bersenbrück in various structures accomodating mainly a young public . The cursus of Bersenbrück vocational school corresponds completely to our vocational school objectives, that is why we decided to form a partnership with this establishment. To prepare the foundation for the partnership, we led several preliminary visits to the town to visit the structures and to make contacts. These faces have re-enforced our relations and have been a great asset to our project implementation. We have planned a pre-visit in March 2016 with pupils from both the classes of 2nde and 1ère bac pro. Thanks to these work placements, the pupils will be able to develop their interpersonnal skills while improving their linguistic competences. This experience is ideal to understand how professional situations are approached in Germany and learn from their know- how. This hand on experience working with a qualified staff will improve our students' professionalism and increase the life skills necessary when looking for employment. Our vocational school will build partnerships both on the educational and working environment in Germany. Our transbordrer connections will reflect our European dimensions while participating in the training of these young citizen learners. An awareness of this joint project will become real on both a local and regional scale in France and Germany. Constant networking up to now and in the future with our European partners will help to implement the phases with ease-regular correspondance. Moreover, informal visits will facilitate a pertinent working experiences for our student trainees. This professional experience will guarantee personal, professional and cultural enhancement. The new horizon and the dynamics created by this in our international context in our vocational school will be highlighted on a national and European dimension. Our joint partners will give way to enriching exchanges. This project will be a springboard for new partners in the European Union community.
