TIMUR - Training of Individuals through Mobility to EU from Uzbek Republic

The core domain of TIMUR consortium is Life Sciences. Therefore Partnerships offers the following thematic fields of study: Agricultural Science, Climate Change, Sustainable Energy, Natural Science, Social Science and Geography as well thematic fields as Business studies & Management Sciences, Engineering & Technology and Mathematics & Informatics & Communication.The wider objective of Partnership is `From Life Sciences to Sciences for Life' and collaborations between all life sciences stakeholders, from academic to private sector, to policy makers and civil society and to improve the networking and knowledge exchange between the public and private sectors as well as between industry and research. European Knowledge and Innovation communities (KICs)would serve as example for building TIMUR partnership.The project partner institutions from EU are: Wageningen University (NL),- applicant, Swedish University of Agricultural Science (SE), Czech University of Life Sciences (CZ), Hohenheim University (DE), University of Natural Resources and Applied Life Sciences (AT), Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra (SK), University of Granada (ES), Szent Istvan University (HU), Politechnico di Torino (I), SupAgro (FR), Georg-August Universitat Gottingen (D), University Ljubliana (SI), Las Palmas de Gran Canaria University (ES) and Adam Mickiewicz University(PL)From Uzbekistan following 7 partner universities are involved: Tashkent Institute for Irrigation and Melioration (UZ) – Joint Coordinator, National University of Uzbekistan (UZ), Karakalpak State University (UZ), Namangan Engineering Pedagogical Institute (UZ), Kokand State Pedagogical Institute (UZ) and Gulistan State University.TIMUR offers 145 scholarships from Uzbekistan to EU on BA, MA, PhD, Post-Doctorate and academic staff level for candidates from TG1, TG2 and TG3.
