CONTEXT: IES Gregorio Prieto is a public high school located in Valdepeñas, Ciudad Real, Castilla la Mancha. The school belongs to MEC-British Council project since 2004, teaching several DNL subjects in English, 8 in total. This department organizes many activities such as international exchanges with foreign schools, educational trips to European capitals, attendance IGCSE and Cambridge B1/B2 exams, eTwinning and Erasmus projects, as well as projects with the Primary school which also belongs to MEC- British Council, plays in English in every year of ESO, etc. Thanks to the implementation of other language programmes such as the European Sections in other schools, we think our school is loosing some of its identity, and our goal is to recover it again. In order to obtain our target, we want that the academic and linguistic education of our students witnesses of our bilingual project quality. In order to develop the skills of our students we need our teachers update their methodology, providing quality education to all students involved. On the other hand, our students need to be trained through innovative methodologies. They also need to develop a greater understanding of the English language, which will lead them to a major understanding of other subjects, and will offer them the international labor market in the future. OBJECTIVES:- Achieving a high level of methodological competences in British Council teachers.- Creating innovative structures that define our school.- Implementing new teaching methodologies with our students to improve their competences and skills.- Inclusion of students with low interest through new methodologies.- Involving the entire faculty of the school to use new methodologies learned through this project in classroom.- Achieving a school modernization with views in internationalization.- Improving the skills of the use of English as the first foreign language of our students.- Controling ICT skills through digital learning.- Creating awareness of Europe to our students, through respect, inclusion and diversity. Physical Education teacher (British dept.).- Mrs. Dª Virginia Vidal. Music teacher (British dept.) and Erasmus + Coordinator. ACTIVITIES DESCRIPTION: structured courses:- "Language Teacher Refresher".- "Interactive Educational Games and Teaching- Using New Technology in Order to Enhance Learners Motivation".- "Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL Secondary)".- "Teaching of Music in Britain".- "Structured Study Visit to Schools / Institutes & Training Seminar".- "Benchmarking Learning with Games".- "Tap-Swipe-Pinch - General". METHODOLOGY:    The methodology used to carry out our project is based on the following stages: identification and analysis of needs, creating work lines, setting objectives, description of activities, research and innovation, outcomes approach, assessment, dissemination and internationalization .    OUTCOMES:- Learning how to use different methodologies based on educational learning: gamification, CLIL, European models, flipped classroom, Projects Based Learning, digital teaching, new technologies.- Designing creative, challenging and innovative activities based on updated methodologies for greater motivation.- Linking the new teaching methodologies to the School Educational Project for better results. IMPACT:- British Council teachers more prepared in educational innovation and digital learning.- Improving the quality of education in our British Council project.- Creating links with other European schools and teachers to implement KA2 and etwinnig quality projects.- Higher English skills and increased motivation in students. LONG TERM BENEFITS:- Creating a Project Based Learning methodology with all British Council subjects.- Quality of the British Council project linked to the School Educational Project.- Achieving greater enrollment in our British Council project both ESO and Bachillerato.
