Young people from rural areas has a big lack of knowledge in the field of recycling and ecology what results in the lack of segregation of municipal waste. With reference to that, Związek Młodzieży Wiejskiej organized two seven-days long meetings under the project "Think creative, act innovative." The aim of the project was to increase the competence of young people in creation of environmental attitudes among society and improve the methods of dissemination. 30 people from Poland and Hungary learned how to identify environmental threats in their region and gained knowledge about the process of decomposition of waste, the importance of its segregation and recycling capabilities. The information obtained during the workshop were used in practice while meetings organized in local primary schools. During the second project meeting participants organized international entertainments for the tourists to raise their environmental awareness. Youth conducted handicraft workshops for tourists accommodated in hotel in Zakopane aimed at utilization of the wastes like cans, bottles, newspapers, plastic bags which can be used in creation of pads or seats. Moreover, the project have include photo public campaign reflecting the positive and negative examples of the approach to the environment in Zakopane and dissemination of informational posters "Aware consumer". The added value of the project was the promotion of ecology in participants’ local communities, the improvement of youth public speaking and the ability to build and manage a group. This form of implementation of the project have stimulated creativity and teach how to cooperate in international group. In addition, participants learned the customs, traditions and culture of partner country and improved language skills. This task was implemented through workshops, discussions, debates, integration activities.
