Start date: Dec 1, 2012,

The Youth Exchange"The charm of supremacy - European Youth against xenophobia, fanaticism and nationalism” is aimed to promote the values of democracy, human rights and free will of people among young Europeans. On the basis of the novel “The Wave” (original: “The Wave” by Morton Rhue) the youngsters will deal with the topics of xenophobia, fanaticism and nationalism by the use of different workshops, discussions, group works and presentations. The Wave is a 1981 young adult novel by Todd Strasser under the pen name Morton Rhue. It is a novelization of a teleplay by Johnny Dawkins for the movie The Wave, a fictionalized account of the "Third Wave" teaching experiment by Ron Jones that took place in a Cubberley High School history class in Palo Alto, California. Understood as a direct follow-up activity of the exchange projects “Common pathways against xenophobia – European Youth shares tolerance and understanding” (2010) and “Tear down this wall! Youth for a common future in Europe” (2011) using various creative workshops, discussions and practical activitiesthe invited young people will take own initiative and share their experiences, discuss different opinions with other young people, reflect own positions and benefit from the knowledge of other participants. Finally this will lead to a public event where the results of the mutual cooperation will be presented to the public.
