The youth exchange project "Theatre of Europe" of the society "Daugavpils jauniešu savienība" will continue 9 months (01.01.2016 -30.09.2016). Venue is Daugavpils (Latvia).The topic of the project is theatre and creativeness, social inclusion. The theatre art plays the great role in the life of modern people, because it promotes the growth of the present and future generations and shows the intellectual and mental development of each country. The theatre functions as an informative source over the world, life, giving the material for thought about different important things, promotes the creative expression and socialization of individuals. It all makes a theatre art as a good tool for the non-formal education of young people.The aim of the project "Theatre of Europe" is to promote the personal effectiveness and tolerance of youth against different social realities through the theatre art. To achieve the stated aims, there were proposed the following objects:- to organize the theatre activities for young people from Latvia, Italy, Poland, Rumania and Slovakia;- to improve the skills of participants about the European cultures in the context of theatre traditions;- to give the youth the possibility to gain new skills and abilities, which will raise their personal effectiveness ;- to acquaint the participants with different methods of artistic expression and give them the possibility to use them in practise;- to acquaint the youth with the priority values of EU and give them the possibility to show the society their view on them with the help of theatrical performance; - to give the youth the possibility to define their own personal values and discuss these with others ;- to organise the theatrical performance in Daugavpils.The project activities will run 10 days (19.03.-28.03.). There will participate 30 young people from Latvia, Poland, Italy, Slovakia and Rumania.Within the project will be used the following methods: presentations, brainstorming, discussions, interviews, individual, group and team works, ice-breaking activities, team making activities, energizers, activities with the theatre techniques, creative tasks, theatrical performances. All chosen methods will help to implement the proposed project objectives and achieve the stated project aim.Within the project activities the youth will be acquainted with the cultures of European countries. They will acquire the skills to understand the representatives of the present cultures in the context of theatre art, will acquire methods of verbal and nonverbal communication and use them in practice, as well as will discover their creative potential participating in different theatrical performances. The young people will have the possibility to show all their skills, abilities and talents in the field of theatre to the society of Daugavpils city by making a performance in Daugavpils theatre within the World Theatre Day, which is celebrated every year on the 27th of March. In honour of this International holiday were chosen for the participants’ public event the following topics: democracy, equality, respect, observation of human rights, which are important for every European inhabitant. These topics form the system of the fundamental values of EU. That will develop the sense of civic responsibility and identity, as well as motivate the young people to be socially active. Within the project will be created the methodical material – booklet, where will be described the project activities and used work methods.
