The Ultimate Guide for Young European Guides
End date: Aug 29, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

Since the EU enlargement, some years ago, there has been not only the increase of the countries but also the increase of the regions. This reinforces the diversity within the Union. Our project wants to valorize the cultural, historical and environmental heritage of the regions where all the partners belong to and, simultaneously, contribute to share and disclose it among, not only the partnerships, but also among all visitors to the local partner regions. We are aware of the migration and touristic flows to and within the European Union and we believe that a good strategy to deal with those will be the constant awareness of heritages of each region and the importance of learning the ways of valorizing and disclosing it.Another fact that we intend to reach is the valorization of the heritage of special social groups as the immigrant students and their families as well as some ethnic groups whose culture also has to be shown and valorized. We believe that the valorization of the cultural, historical and environmental heritage of the regions and its specific social groups will be the best way to implement multiculturalism and fight racism and xenophobia. The final product of the GYG-project will be "The Ultimate Guide for Young European Guides" consisting of practical tips for guiding and hosting different visitors; summary of local legends and tales; an overview of local natural resources, history and economy of each partner.
