The Transmanche Media Development Programme aims to develop and contribute a sustainable film and media industry in the Transmanche Region, Kent, East Sussex, Hove and Nord Pas De Calais. It will promote a the themes of citizenship through the moving image. The Key programme initiatives will include strengthening cooperation between Filmmakers, Citizens, Universities, Colleges, Writers Directors and Production Companies and voluntary organisations in the region, by developing joint initiatives which promote new and emerging talent through shared storytelling particularly related to issues of citizenship, by providing training in the community and access to production and subtitling funds as well as joint marketing and networking opportunities.
