THE RIGHT TO...CREATE! PRAVICA DO...USTVARJAJMO!
Start date: May 1, 2010,

The right to…create! Let's think critically about our human rights, let's create with our ideas, our imagination and with our freedom because… it's a right! The right to…create! is an international youth exchange that will take place near Ljubljana, Slovenia including 21 young people and 6 leaders from Romania, Spain and Slovenia. The participants will gain enriching experiences through building friendships and learning about cultural diversity. At the same time they will think critically and learn about human rights and when they are abused. The participants will include young migrants and young people with fewer opportunities. Each partner will work on a specific subject connected with human rights, decide which kind of activities they would like to offer during the exchange and talk about their expectations and motivation for the exchange. On the whole, these ideas will shape the exchange and will be discussed during the advance planning visit. In the youth exchange, after the first few days of group building, the participants will be split into 3 smaller groups, based on their own interests, to take part in activities connected with human rights. The first group will take part in an art project, the second group will shoot a film and the third will research human rights and when they are abused. Different cultures and traditions will be presented on intercultural evenings, as well as the Slovenian culture (e.g. through trips to different places, food, music). We'll present our work in the local and international community using various mediums (e.g. exhibitions, news about the exchange in newspapers, social networking sites, round table). The other partners will do the same in their respective countries.
