EuroDEMOS Association proposes to see HUMAN RIGHTS in photos through the training "The RIGHT Photo". The project approaches the themes of human rights photographic art and active citizenship. The training "The RIGHT Photo" will be held in Iasi, Romania, on 08th - 17th of July 2010 and will bring together 24 young people from 8 European countries: Estonia, Greece, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Portugal, Romania and Turkey. The project will offer to the participants the opportunity to explore human rights and to approach them from an artistic perspective, to make an intercultural exchange with young people form different countries, to contribute to the human rights promotion as active citizens and to learn and practice photographic art. The objectives are: the participants' awarness on importance of active involvement in promoting and defending human rights and democratic values; using photgraphic art as way of stimulating the public sensitivity on importance of human rights defence; stimulating the use of hobbies and personal abilities as way of manifesting the active citizenship; creating an intercultural exchange. The program of training will contain intercultural evenings, presentations, work-shops on photographic art, human rights and active citizenship, analyses, practical activities and visit to the important monuments of the town. At the project will come as guests specialists in human rights and active citizenship. At the end of the training will be organized a photo exhibition with the photos made by the participants.
