The message of 1989 History and democratic citizenship in intercultural dialogue

In this training course youth workers from Poland, Hungary, Northern Ireland and Germany deal with the events of the year 1989, the message deriving from them for intercultural dialogue and understanding as well as for the future and the growing together of Europe. Starting from a look at their personal biographies, participants will explore their different cultures of remembrance, democratisation processes, human rights and the future of Europe. In the end new projects in the field of education for democracy will be developed.
