The Little Prince

We chose the book ‘Le Petit Prince’ by Antoine De Saint-Exupéry as the central theme. Topics like friendship, exploring, being different, space, being creative and undertaking, … offer a whole range of possibilities. We use the well-known quotes and drawings from the book to organize interesting and significant activities. We’ll combine 2 age groups: todlers (5-7 years) + older pupils (10-12 years). This will offer opportunities for the children to improve their social skills. In this way they do not only communicate with foreign children of the same age but also with younger children from kindergarten. We think it is important that:-the different partners work around the same theme in the same period so that we can compare results.-the timing is strictly kept so that the children never have to wait too long before they get to see the work from the others. -the tasks are very interactive: action and reaction. You can find this in the activities. Children in the partner countries should be able to do something with the packages they receive as often as possible.-ICT is a working tool. This will be an extra learning experience for the children.-the project activities are integrated in the curriculum as much as possible.Everybody can have a close watch on the project by looking at the website: www.thelittleprince.be
