The impact of personal food, drink and lifestyle choices on personal health...

By working collaboratively with schools in the Czech Republic, Denmark, Spain and the UK pupils will explore the impact of personal food, drink and lifestyle choices on four areas:-Personal health-Social issues and cultural identity-The environment-Global economy and the distribution of wealthDrawing upon a number of curriculum areas pupils will engage in a variety of individual and collaborative tasks to identify the role of these themes in the context of their own school and community, before going on to exchange these with their counterparts in the other three countries. As well as serving as a basis for comparing and contrasting the role of food, drink and lifestyle choices across the four cultures, the pupils will employ skills such as creativity, teamwork, innovation and problem solving to propose, and indeed produce solutions to these issues. This work will take place prior to and during four mobility activities, one hosted by each of the four partner institutions. During each of these visits pupils will be hosted by young people from the host school thereby enabling cross cultural friendships to be established and linguistic skills to be developed.
