This project will be carried out in view of the appreciating the local population and cross-border relationships through their heritage and more specificly religious heritage. Firstly, we would like to reinforce ownership of this heritage by the local population through technical improvement of inner and outer building state when needed, then by improving safety so that visits should be allowed permanently or during cultural promotion activities . In England, this will also include improvements to churches which will enhance their ability to welcome visitors' kitchens, toilets, small meeting rooms and access for the disabled. This first step will allow the beginning of a genuine 'franco-british' cooperation through the development of cultural promotions around common themes between the two partners. The aim is the reinforcement of links between the two areas, the development of exchanges between individuals and towns and villages and cultural synergy through knowledge and experiences on both sides of the Channel .
