The Valenciennes and Tournai areas benefit from a privileged position alongside the river Scheldt and a favourable economic activity thanks to the presence of major international industry groups. Significant changes are to take place, however, with the arrival of the Seine-Nord-Europe canal.In this context, the partners reflect on the possible consequences for employment in the area. They ask the residents opinion on these changes and on how they see future employment in the area.
