The creation of a disease control centre for the purposes of joint Hungarian-Romanian disease control tasks

The primary goal of the project was to set up a disease control centre that meets European Union requirements, is fully supported by the appropriate infrastructure and is capable of operating efficiently, both in its social and its economic aspects. The project involved setting up the infrastructure of a regional disease control centre in Békéscsaba, and maintaining constant contact and cooperation with our Romanian partners, which increased the efficiency of joint disease control work. The centre has a dual purpose: it has a certain set of tasks in periods when there is no epidemic in the area, and it has special responsibilities during outbreaks of diseases that must be reported. Achievements: Please refer to the 'Description' field, which also includes the achievements of this project.
