The realization of the idea of preventing functional disability among pupils aged 11 to 13 years, not only with corrective gymnastics exercises, but with using the exercises from selected sports and applying the sport requisites which enables further training and student activities, first as a game and later as a training and if they are talented their further involvement in competitive sports and will become life commitment, but with the message that sport and practicing sport is for the purpose of improving and maintaining their health, proper body posture and the adoption of educational and hygienic habits. Through two cycles of education and training of six months, students will master the basic techniques of volleyball and rhythmic gymnastics, where they will be trained by the best coaches in these sports. Duration of the project and its content allows mastering and application of devices and other sports equipment, Flexi-bar and the XCO-Athletic which first found application in this part of Europe. Sports camp aims to teach all children to swim and learn swimming techniques. Seminars and joint preparation of the project will enable the professional education of the professional team and their specific training that will be used to further their professional work after completion of the project in schools. The novelty in the work is the involvement of parents-volunteers who will be involved in education and practical work with their children and who will be trained for the same activities with their children in families and therefore students will receive a number of classes and training in solving their health problems. The calendar provides activities to introduce children and parents from the municipalities, a tour and learning about the schools where their peers spend time every day, learn and play. During the organization of sports camps, children live in families of their peers and thus become a part of family time, get to know other family members, their living conditions, nutrition habits, folklore, folk costumes and everything that makes everyday life. In addition to the conditions of life, it is very important for children to get to know each other in conditions that are common, like in school dances, events, recital and other activities that are part of sports activities. Professional work in two surroundings, the application of various methods and devices and the application of the same disciplines will be prescribed after completion of medical examinations and testing of relevant data on health status of students. Information about the proper choice of means, methods, results of work and the necessity of significant approach to this problem will be shown the wider community. On the basis of project implementation, partnership and cooperation of people gathered around the project, the goal is to expand cooperation to other areas of life in the two municipalities in order to continue the cooperation in other sports, other age groups and with cultural, tourist and business entities. Achievements: The followingresults were achieved:- Organization of a one-day seminar in Majdanpek focused on the use of therapeutic gymnastics in the prevention and elimination of functional disability;- Organization of a one-day volleyball seminar under title Technical elements of the volleyball a the mean used for the corrections of the deviations of the muscles of the spinal cord. The seminar was held in the school gym in Belogradchik;- Organization of a one-day seminar in Majdanpek on the topic of corrective gymnastics;- Organization of four medical examinations and consultation sessions with the students and parents. The goal of the sessions was to help the local population with early diagnostics and treatment of physical conditions and disabilities such as deviation of the spine, chest and lowerextremities;- Two five-day Sports camps were held in Majdanpek and in Belogradchik as well as two public classes;- Procurement of sports equipment for the participants in the sports camps;- Implementation of a comprehensive publicity campaign promoting the project, including on the local and national television as well as on the web site: http://www.staraskola-mpek.edu.rs
