The Best Experiences and Competences from Europe
Start date: Sep 1, 2014, End date: Aug 31, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

The current mobility project involves teachers of department of agricultural studies and students in Järvamaa Vocational Training Centre. Therefore we can itemize more than just one aim: • providing our students as large-scale education as possible to compile with labour market in European Union; • supporting students in basic vocational education and training offering them knowledge, vocational skills and qualification through implementation of ECVET; • developing study standard levels in department of agricultural studies; • gathering ideas in curricula development, adding optional study modules and promoting development of small-businesses in rural areas. In addition we indicate importance to life-long learning key competences: • developing foreign language skills of students and teachers, motivating them to study other foreign languages and to get acquainted to foreign cultures; • teaching both students and teachers self-confidence and initiative. The project activities are offering opportunities to broaden their mind through foreign traditions, cultures, technologies and work specific besides acquiring and developing new vocational skills. During the period 1st September 2014 to 31st August 2015 there will be 20 student mobility from JKHK to Poland, Hungarian and Finland. Involved are the students studying car technician, cleaning services, house holding, mason, computers and networks, road construction, customer service assistant for logistics’ companies, warehouse keeper, agricultural producer. 10 specialists from JKHK department of agricultural studies are sent to Finland and to the Netherlands. There are involved the students of second and third year in the project activities, because they have acquired professional skills, working techniques and have even partial work experience. Finding new opportunities for developing agricultural studies the specialists of agricultural department (if possible also members of school management) are joined to the project activities. All the participants are variably supported by both sending organisation and hosting organisations before and during the mobility. Sending organisation is responsible for preparation of participants in their vocational skills, language skills, cultural awareness, travel arrangement, required documentation etc.). Host organisation arranges according to prenuptial agreements mobility reception in the destination country (transport, accommodation, necessary catering, required work placements and companies etc.) JKHK is willing to continue even more successful local social and economic development through project activities improving quality of agricultural education. We try to find and offer new opportunities for small enterprises in rural areas. Our future prospect is to create and join to JKHK a cluster directed to rural businesses and make co-operation with other vocational institutions offering agricultural studies. As one of the outcomes we see developing professional skills of students, development of their working stock and work pattern which help them to adapt with their working environment. Entering the labour market right after school graduation often leaves the students into weaker position because of lack of real work experience. We hope to offer them better opportunities in labour market providing work placement experience in a foreign country. Comparing to the students with local national work placement experience they should have advantages.
