SummaryTEVAL 2 rises in the sequence of the last years experience by the partnership that composed the Project TEVAL - Evaluation Model for Teaching and Training Practice Competences - LdV PT/ 04/ B/ F/ PP – 159050. This Project has developed and validated an innovative evaluation model, using different qualitative research methodologies. The model was conceived regarding its sustainability for Education and Training organisations, such as schools, training centres, VET schools and other providers of learning opportunities, in the European context. The pertinence and need of an innovative evaluation model was confirmed by the analysis made by TEVAL research team in their national context. National and Transnational reports resulting from the Project refer to the need to improve and change the Evaluation Culture in teachers and trainers, and to emphasize teaching and training “new” competences regarding Education and Training changes and challenges in Europe.In a complementary approach, parallel experiences in other European Projects, where partners have collaborated, brought up some strength to the need on consistent evaluation approaches in Education and Training systems in Europe (including professional competences’ evaluation, organisation’ evaluation’, services’ evaluation and students outcomes’ evaluation), in order to implement a strong system for quality guarantee.The aim for TEVAL II is to continue to the work developed during the past two years in the scope of TEVAL, bearing the validation of the achieved model in practice context, but mainly, it’s intent to extend the model to other contexts, and to implement a wide learning about Evaluation for professionals and organisations.In this perspective, the objectives for TEVAL 2 – Innovative Evaluation Model in Teaching and Training Organisations, for the proposed 24 months, are:1. Identify the needs of a sample of Education and Training’ actors about Competences’ Evaluation (self and hetero evaluation), in the transference contexts;2. Conceive a training course, based on the needs’ diagnosis and on the Evaluation Model, for teachers and trainers;3. Deliver a training course to a sample of teachers and trainers, according to the conceived training plan;4. Conduct a pilot experience within the selected organisations, for the validation of the Evaluation Model in its application context. The enlargement of the original team has allowed to build up a wide and diversified partnership composed by the following entities: Beja’s Higher School of Education (PT), Univation, Institute for Evaluation (DE), CREDIJ (FR), FRAREG, s.r.l. (IT), EUREKA, European Training Centre (PL), Casa Corpului Didactic Dolj (RO) and EntenteUK (UK). The partnership covers multicultural approaches to teaching, training and evaluation, from the Anglo-Saxon systems to the Mediterranean systems. Furthermore, entities are representative of the range of activities and fields of knowledge involved in teaching. Training, learning and evaluation, from the more academic and research based activities to the implementation and face-to-face with the target groups of the Project.In this scope, TEVAL 2 expects to have impact in the quality management of Educational and Training systems in Europe, through the generation of learning practice experiences, with all teaching and training actors, managers and administrative, in their work context – the organisations.
