Environmental problems has become a topic that is mostly debated today, waiting for a solution and concern for all humanity. Individuals are supposed to develop awareness of this issue and take measures towards this is seen as an important step in solving problems. From this point of view, especially in young individuals environmental awareness raising and creating awareness of environmental protection is one of the most important factors. The aim of the project: Environment-related events, is to create an awareness and sensitivity among students and of course ensure that they take a more active role on environmental issues.Our partner in Macedonia in the city of Skopje hosted the project.Our partners. NGOs from Greece and Romania with their participants joined the Project. The joining countries obliged by thequota given to themtaking gender balance into consideration.There were a number of activities during the execution of the project including workshops, seminars, and all the needed theoretical teachings in addition to practical examples that aimed to opening the horizons of the participants.The activity of garbage collecting organized by the Municipality of CairIn Skopje city was joined by people from the city.The Municipality of Cair has announced our project and the activity in its website making sure that the news is spread as much as possible in the community. In addition to the above-mentioned activities, during the application the participants were asked to decide a slogan. Their slogans were exhibited to people over the trees in the city park in the Municipality of Cair.The most attractive slogan was chosen the winner. The conducted workshops, seminars and other theoretical teachings in addition to the activities organized in recycling and solid waste facilities have resulted in the following: -It has improved the sensibility of the participants towards environmental issues. The participants took the chance to see good practical examples. The participants have become keen to join environmental activities in their country voluntarily. -It has made participants realize the value of recycling and solid waste. -Participants' environment protection awareness and the sense of sharing with the other creatures have evolved. -Participants' sense of responsibility has alsoevolved. In the long run,the project made the participants realize the importance of their participation in similar activities related to the environment taking place in their countries and encouraged them to take their social responsibility and be role models.This with time is going to reach the policy makers and affect their decisions positively.
