As a result of cooperation between the Municipality of Örkény, the HungarianTelework Association and the Slovakian Dvory nad Žitavou (Udvard), a teleworkhouse was established in autumn 2007. The project enabled the establishmentof a telework house with 22 computer workstations in Örkény. Within the project alabour market study, an analysis of telework patterns, and e-learning telework trainingmaterials were prepared under the aegis of the Hungarian Telework Association. Bothelectronic and printed brochures were made with the purpose of informing potentialemployers of teleworkers. The project also had a favourable effect on the cohesionbetween the settlements. Potential teleworkers attended a jointly organized trainingon the concept and possibilities of teleworking.
