Teknologi og specialundervisning
Start date: Aug 1, 2016, End date: Jul 31, 2018 PROJECT  FINISHED

CKU Himmerland offers a wide range of education for young people over 16 and adults over 18 who need to get remedied or limited the negative effects from a physical or mental disability. The aim is to develop students personal, social, professional and study or professional competences and improve functional skills. Within the education there is often used technology to compensate for various disabilities or limitations for the students. The technology is developing very rapidly and the possibilities are constantly getting bigger and better, but at the same time it becomes more difficult to grasp the opportunities that might exist for some of our students. The technologies that are being used on CKU Himmerland and in Denmark in general is very culturally determined, and an international project will hopefully break down the traditional ways of thinking in the use of technology for people with special needs. CKU Himmerland would like to send three staff members out to gain more knowledge in this area, and the three must cover relevant student audiences professionally. Partners are yet to be found, but we hope to find some in two northern European countries, where we can make two mobilities and also come in a relevant trade show or seminar with technology as the main theme. The results will hopefully mean more knowledge about the use of technology for people with special needs and also to target groups that we have not yet exercised any kind of technology. With such a project CKU Himmerland will thus become knowledge holders on the use of technology in a new way, which requires that the knowledge must be spread out to all relevant collaborators. All with the reason that our students, people with special needs, utilizing technology to reduce the constraints and barriers that their disability allows them.
