Teaching with Animation — Development and implementation of a self training computer assisted animation program - as an innovative didactic tool for teachers in the elementary school system

The project aims at developing a computer assisted didactic tool and self-instructive training manual on using animation as pedagogical method in teaching primary or secondary level students in any subjects. The method can be adapted to any level of education and to various target groups, also groups with learning difficulties. The new computer-assisted animation tools and methods will bring innovation in the way of learning and expression. The target groups are teachers and teacher students in primary and secondary schools, teacher training colleges and institutions offering further training for teachers. The majority of teachers have no experience or knowledge in using computer-assisted animation as a didactic tool. The partner group will act as active regional animators and produce as final products a training manual, a self-training programme and course manual, a website, publicity material and a handbook including technical and didactic demands for the perfect future animation software specially designed for teaching in elementary school level. The training manual will be freely available in Internet, in English. The partner group will disseminate nationally information and the products to all teachers and teacher students in participating regions. Beyond the partner countries dissemination will be targeted to selected teacher training colleges and institutions offering supplementary training for teachers. Participating countries: DK, DE, ES, EE, FR, UK
