Teaching practises, language training and ICT
Start date: Sep 1, 2014, End date: Aug 31, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

Our project aims at improving the ICT-skills of our staff. Our staff is motivated to learn about effective use of modern technologies and the digital competences that will be needed in the new matriculation examination in 2016. We have had successful multilateral and bilateral projects within the European Comenius-program and that’s why we want to continue to give the teachers a possibility to participate in teacher training courses and also to go job-shadowing in our partner schools. This is how they will gain important knowledge of good practises and get new ideas how to develop our curriculum. One of the focuses of our project will be to support language teaching, especially the elective courses in languages and the new subject on the curriculum, Italian. CLIL is something new, but our Spanish partner already has some experience on it and is ready to guide our staff during a job-shadowing period. In addition, teachers will take part in staff training courses on the topic of CLIL in England. The total number of participant teachers will be 15. The result of the project will be the participants’ improved knowledge of ICT-skills, language competence and cultural competence. They will be more aware of the advantages of international cooperation and will be better able to guide our students in their projects. The teachers participating in job-shadowing and staff training will share their experiences and even the long term impact will be significant not only to the development of the curriculum, but also to the everyday work of the whole school organisation.
