The project main aims were:
to assist in the teaching and learning of Spanish throughout the school, to update cultural knowledge, teaching methodologies and use of ICT in language teaching and in the programmes of study in the modern languages' department within the school.
To assist in establishing links with educational establishments in Spain with a view to increase professional links and the implementation of possible pupil projects in the future.
The project envisaged attendance of a staff member on a week's Secondary Teaching course on the Teaching of Spanish language and culture in Spain in July 2014 .
The long term benefits were based on the sharing of knowledge and skills to other staff members within the school who would implement the new ideas and methods throughout the following year.
